Jennifer Rene Psaki

Jennifer Rene Psaki (American political advisor) was the 34th White House secretary. She served this role from 2021-2022. She is a member of the Democratic Party and previously served as the White House deputy Press Secretary (2009) as well as the White House deputy Communications Director (2009-2011) as well as the spokesperson for the US Department of State (2013-15) and as the White House communications direct (2015-17). Psaki was an CNN political commentator from 2017 until 2020. Psaki started her career in 2001 as an official political contributor for CNN. She worked on elections for the re-elections of Tom Harkin (Iowa Democrats) for the U.S. Senate, and Tom Vilsack (Iowa Governor). Psaki later served as the press secretary deputy for John Kerry's 2004 presidential campaign. Psaki was also the director of communications to Joseph Crowley in the U.S. and as the regional press secretary for Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. Psaki was back in the political arena in 2012, serving as the press secretary for President Obama's 2012 campaign. [20] Psaki was named the spokesperson of the United States Department of State. [20] It was speculated that Psaki would be replacing Jay Carney as White House Press Secretary.[21] However, Josh Earnest was announced to replace Carney on May 30 the 30th of May, 2014. She was named Communications Director at the White House and continued to perform this role until the end of 2015.
