Kyra Minturn

 KyraMinturn Sedgwickwas born on 19th August, 1965 is an American actor. She is best known for her leading role as deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson on the TNT crime drama The Closer. Sedgwick was awarded an award in 2007 for her portrayal of Johnson. Golden Globe Award in 2007 for her portrayal of Johnson and also an Emmy Award 2010 for her portrayal. After the conclusion of the seventh season, the show was cancelled on the 13th of August 2012. Sedgwick is also known for her part in Brooklyn Nine-Nine as Madeline Wuntch. Sedgwick received a Golden Globe nomination for her performance as Madeline in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's film roles include Oliver Stone's Born On the Fourth of July (1989), Cameron Crowe's Solos (1992), Heart and Souls (93), Phenomenon (2000), What's Cooking (2000) as well as Secondhand Lions (2003). She was also in The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick was born New York City to Patricia Rosenwald (nee Rosenwald), who is a speech/family therapist, and Henry Dwight Sedgwick as a venture investor. Her mother was Jewish and her father was an Episcopalian. She was also of English descent. Sedgwick has declared that she's Jewish and participates in Passover meals.
